Independent assessment under DSI 001
An independent read on how your autonomous system is governed.
Attestra is the independent assessor authorised by Decision Standards Institute under the DSI 001 scheme. We assess a specific autonomous system and issue a governance classification your board, insurer, customers and regulators can read.
We assess. We do not prepare. The auditor does not prepare the accounts.
What you get
A DSI 001 assessment gives you an independently assessed governance classification and evidence record for a specific autonomous system, in a form a board, insurer, buyer, lender or regulator can read.
What you get
Independent, comparable, deployment-level
A DSI 001 assessment gives you an independently assessed governance classification and evidence record for a specific autonomous system, in a form a board, insurer, buyer, lender or regulator can read.
Independent
The assessment is performed by Attestra, which did not design, sell, or operate the system.
Comparable
The classification is read on a published scale from 1.0 to 5.0, where lower is stronger governance.
Deployment-level
It speaks to one specific autonomous system rather than the whole company.
Why Attestra
Independence is the strength of the result
The credibility of a result rests on the same principle as an independent audit: the auditor does not prepare the accounts. Attestra assesses; it does not prepare the evidence, advise on how to obtain a result, or assess a system it helped prepare. Attestra is under common control with the operator of the Custara evidence product; that relationship is disclosed on every report, conflict decisions sit with an independent authority, and the Institute that publishes the standard sits outside that group.

Attestra assesses across the six DSI 001 dimensions over a minimum 180-day evidence window, grades the evidence under EIS-01, and issues the full result: the Governance Benchmark Index, the dimensional profile, the multiplier analysis, the evidence-quality findings and, where required, a remediation roadmap. Read the six DSI 001 dimensions.

The detail
Tiers and validity
| Tier | Threshold | Validity | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assessed | Any result | 60-day reliance window | Inspection |
| Compliant | GBI at or below 2.50 | 12 months | Inspection |
| Certified | GBI at or below 1.75 | 24 months with 12-month interim surveillance | Certification |
Assessment runs over a minimum 180-day evidence window. Reassessment triggers are notified within 60 days. Evidence is graded under EIS-01, where contemporaneous infrastructure-generated evidence is strongest and reconstructed evidence is weakest, and management representations are excluded from certification.
Scoping

What an assessment would cover
A DSI 001 result is a scoped governance classification, not a determination of legal, regulatory, insurance, credit or fiduciary outcomes, and is valid only within its stated windows. Full disclaimers.
